Default Rear end shake after sitting

Hi All,

Vehicle Background:
- 2010 F150 Lariat 5.4L 4WD
- 80,000 miles
- New brakes and Rotors on all wheels
- Left outer/inner tie rod replaced
-*Forgot originally* New tires replaced 2 weeks ago

Problem:
After sitting all day at work or overnight when I start to move there is a large shaking coming from the rear end. This happens at lower speeds after I start moving forward or backwards after the truck has been sitting for a period of time. I also seem to notice it sometimes when I am turning sharply at very low speed. The shaking goes away after a mile or two of driving and does not return until the truck sits for a length of time.

Any suggestions? Rear diff? Bearings?

Thanks,
Pat

PlawF150,
That sounds like a flat spot on one or more of the tires.
The old nylon and fiberglass belted tires would do that after sitting for numerous hours.
Check your tire conditions and inflation pressures.

I knew I forgot something on the background information. I also just put new tires on about two weeks ago.

So did the shaking begin the day after the tires were installed?
If so, a trip back to the tire shop will be in order.

O no. I would have immediately went back. It has been doing this for a few months now and wanted to get some other opinions as i cannot seem to find anything else related on other forums.

We used to have a car that did this in the 70's. It was the tires.

I am positive its not the tires. They were just replaced brand new two weeks ago.

It doesn't have a bumpy type feel but more of a shaking/vibration feel. Like something is sticking then working itself back smooth.

If it gets worse in cold weather, its the tires.
