Rattly grinding no 12v to dash cluster
Howdy everyone, I hope that someone out there has heard of a problem like this.
08 F150 4x4
Rattly, grinding noise from front of motor only when under load or its hot outside. Dash cluster, radio and hvac loses power. Truck still drives and runs fine, o/d, cruse and headlights all function. Last for 10 seconds to a couple minutes and all goes back to normal. I can not get the problem to happen when Im stopped and can actually look to see where noise is coming from. Sometimes when it returns to normal there is a clunk that can be felt through the floor board but not every time.
Fan clutch?
Alternator?
