Exclamation Rattling Noise

Hey guys I wasn't sure where else to place this topic so I put it here under maintenance..

I have a 2002 F-150 sport single cab, 4.2L engine, 5 spd trans

I have a rattle that sound that sounds like its coming from right under the driver side. It sounds like metal hitting metal. I at first thought it was the bedliner coming lose and hitting the side of the bed. Then i thought maybe the cats so i checked those out myself and found nothing so i had a muffler shop take a look at them when they installed my dual exhaust and they said nope they are perfect... I took a wrench and started tapping heat shields and mounts under the truck and I can't get anything to rattle.

I put the truck in the drive way the other day in idle and got under it while it was raddling I pin pointed the noise to somewhere under the driver side but i can't find the source. The noise comes and goes, usually it comes when i'm in a idle like at a red light or a drive thru and it will continue all the way through 1st gear and begining of 2nd. It also rattles when im coming to a stop and drop to about 10 or so mph.

I don't know what else to do this has been going on for a couple of years, some days the truck is perfect and has no raddles, and some days it raddles all day long.

Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Similar to my truck. Exhaust shop found cat shield and exhaust shield rusting and rubbing. Took em off. No more noise
