Radio doesn't work
 

Ok so I have my very first problem with my truck. I have a '08 FX4 and a lil while back my radio display, clock etc, wasn't working but my radio still did, and eventually came back. Now my display is gone and the music doesn't work, almost like it's not getting any power. I don't know if it matters but it's the 6 CD changer version. Anybody have any ideas it would be appreciated. I still have the warranty but it's a hour drive each way so I was hoping it was something simple. Thanks in advance

Did you check the fuse?

That was my first thought as well, but my manual said the fuse box was supposed to be under the gauge panel on the right side and I couldn't find it. I assume by gauge panel they mean under the steering wheel? Maybe I'm just interpreting it wrong

Your fuse box is in the passenger side kick panel. Down and right of your glove compartment.

Well I took out the fuse and it wasn't blown but when I put it back in I heard the CD player start cycling so I checked it and it worked. So I guess it was just loose or something? o well I'm not going to argue. Thanks for the help you saved me two hours of driving and countless hours of waiting

Take a little sand paper and rough up the fuse legs and the contacts on the fuse box next time it happens.
