Default Abs sensor failed, replaced and still failing?

So I took my 2009 F150 to AutoZone for ABS light and show the rear right speed sensor was feeling so I put a new one on and also clean the rear left as it had a lot of buildup on it about a week later my ABS light came back on and took it back to AutoZone in this time both the rear right and rear left speed sensors were at fault.

now after they cleared the error codes when I first turn on the truck there's no ABS light on but after about few minutes of driving it comes back on. I've only started it twice since cleared but both times if was off at startup then came on after a few.

Anyways what's causing this? I could see how the rear left might fail since it was very dirty covered in either brake dust or metal shavings I cleaned it with a toothbrush thought that would be good enough but guess not. The new sensor is what's really making me scratch my head. Is there a step I might have missed? I assumed it was a simple sensor swapout
