took my new 2017 F150 in today, puddle lights are coming on random times day/night. Found a fault in right light. still have random puddle lights coming on for 50-60 seconds. day/night. Problem not heard of before. Anyone else?

Our 2015 has a similar issue. The puddle lights come on randomly and go off after a minute or two, and this goes on for hours sometimes. Occasionally the bed light comes on with it too, but not often. This has been going on for a month or so. I thought the frigid cold may be a factor, but I'm doubting it now. We recently had 3 of the 4 lock actuators replaced, the drivers door wasn't done. Any help or direction to other resources is greatly appreciated. The truck is out of warranty.

My 15's cargo/bed light just started coming on randomly day/night locked/unlocked and even when I'm driving. Have not had the dealership look at it yet...

Yes we have the same problem, all night long the cargo lights, side view mirror and bed lights randomly flash throughout the night. I noticed it last night for the 3rd time. Hoping its no big deal.

The dealer first replaced our dashboard headlamp switch and the puddle lamps came on 2 miles down the road at a stop light..lmao. They said they had a fault code that led them to it. They repair vehicles like I did when I was a kid...just replace parts that "could" be the problem until they get the right one. I could bore you with stories, but won't They then replaced the LED bed light switch in the bed, ours is on the left side of the bed wall when you open the tailgate. It's only been 3 days, but I haven't seen them go on yet. The dealer said in an email it was part number FL3Z-9C888-B. This link is on ebay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/15-18-F-150.../162554879172. The dealer gets $100 just to diagnose...I'd take a flyer and replace the switch on your own. It seems logical the dealer mistake tells us it could be the dash headlamp switch though. Good Luck!!!

I'm not sure where the conflict lies, but if you follow (click on or copy and paste it into your address bar) this link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/15-18-F-150...-/162554879172 It shows the same part number yet it's different. The pics on ebay look correct. It's cheap, you can get the correct part by calling the dealer. Sorry for the confusion.

We have a '15 F-150, the fix was in the LED switch in the bed. Ours is on the drivers side by the tailgate, by the light. The dealer said in an email it was part number FL3Z-9C888-B. Good luck
