It's not so much that it's not safe, it's that it doesn't work. Even if Firestone patches it it won't hold forever, but see what the cost is and compare it to replacing it. If they're like new you can just replace the one. If it's cheap enough it might be worth a try. Don't bother plugging it though, that'll last a week tops.

If you have a good spare just patch it and put it in the spare position. Find a buy 4 get one free deal when you retire the rig.

If you dont want to be stranded or changing a tire on the road at night in the rain bite the bullet and buy a tire
