Default Overheating problem...HELP!

Hey guys I need some help. I am having overheating problems with my truck. I recently had to replace my water pump and i did the thermostat (Both Autozone parts). filled her up with fresh coolant and bled the system as much as i can. ever since then my fan comes on really loud, like a tornado under my hood. It gets so loud that when i go to drive thrus i cant hear the person or they cant hear me. Well, that was about 5 months ago. these past couple of weeks my temps creep up past the half way mark on the dash. I seem to notice it does that when i take my foot off the gas pedal. When i press the gas pedal i can see the needle move back down to the middle. When i get to a stop light the needle goes past the half way mark and stays about half the distance between the middle and the H...and my fan is running really loud. The needle stays at the middle mark when i am driving, but when i coast or at a stop light, the needle moves toward the H and i start to worry if the truck is going to overheat and shut down on me.

Anyways, this has been going on for about two weeks now and i am really thinking about changing my water pump and thermostat again, this time going with Ford parts instead of AZ. Question is, could it be something i did or did not do when I had the original problem...? I really though i bled the system really good. Any help or advice greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

One thing comes to mind, did you install the thermostat correctly? The spring end should go towards the engine.I would start with a Motorcraft themostat and then you can verify the installation. Although I have never seen a newer water pump actually cause an overheating condition, provided it has not leaked all your coolant out and has not bound up. I have heard older, neglected ones have a eaten away impeller. If the new thermostat has a poppet valve to allow air to pass by, air pocket shouldn't be a problem.Lastly, safely examine the fan(s) and make sure they are spinning freely and not binding.

I hope I didnt put it in backwards. I put the Tstat back in the same way i took the old one out. But I am about to replace it with a Ford Motorcraft OE part...and I will ask for a schematic to see how this Tstat goes in.

The original problem was my water pump crapped out on me on the drive back home from work. So i replaced the water pump and since i had to remove the Tstat housing I just changed it while i was in there...

Anyways, I am going to replace the Tstat tomorrow and see how that works out. Thanks!
