I have 5 quarts of Motor craft 5w20 Synthetic Blend and 2 quarts of Valvoline 5w20 Synthetic Blend. Ok to mix at the next oil change?

I feel like its fine to top off with different oil if its low, but I wouldn't want to make a habit out of mixing oils at oil changes. Can you do one this time, and the other the next? Using both up separately

Yeah. It's fine. "Don't mix oils" is a thing of the past.

The price for MC in my area has gone up a lot. Now it is around $9 bucks a quart and $35 for a 1.25 gallons. Sucks.

I bought two Valvoline 1.25 gallon jugs for $34 shipped.

Truck takes 7 qts per change and I have 5 qts of MC and 10 qts of Val.

I was going to mix this one time and the next be pure Val. Hopefully the MC prices go down by then to switch back.

Walmart shows $17.97 but the shelf has been empty for a while now. I have to look online and that is where I am finding the prices of $35 for 5 qts.

35 bucks or say 5000 for a motor? Don't be cheap on certain things.

Mixing the oils is fine. Some people mix them on purpose to to get a certain mix since different oils have different additives. So mix at will, it'll be fine.
