i just bought my truck a few weeks ago, it's a 2.7 EB, and the sales guy at the dealer said it would be a good idea to change my oil at 1,000 miles. I thought this was a little overkill, but I just read another guy doing this. What's your opinion?

First thing when buying a vehicle. Don't listen to the sales guy about maintenance!

Secondly, Your owners manual has everything you need to know.

AND...this has been beaten to death. You can do a search on oil change and find countless threads.
