Default Lower control arm bushings

I have a '02 FX4 Super Crew that is showing her age. I've been getting this clunking - rattle under the floor pan lately. I decided to change out the upper and lower ball joints as well as replace the worn Ranchos up front. That went well, but after it was back together the problem was still there. I had my ole lady bounce on the step bar with me under my truck and found the noise to be coming from the lower control arm bushings on both sides ( I think ). Here's my question: Do the stock bushings need to be pressed out? I was considering getting the truck jacked up and supported on stands. Then supporting the control arm with my jack and unbolting the lower bushings. Swapping out the old for new and rebolting. Will it fly or am I aking for trouble?
