Loss of acceleration 09 f150 STX 2wd V8 (175K miles)
2009 F150 STX 4.5L 2wd (175k miles) non daily driver
So last week I ran into town and my truck drove fine , on my way home I was going about 60mph on the hwy and felt a slight loss of acceleration when pushing the gas pedal but it corrected itself nearly immediately. When I got to my road and slowed down, I made the turn and was driving about 30mph and after approximately half a mile of maintaining this speed my truck completely loss power and just shut off mid-drive. It started right back up but died again as soon as it did. An alert message popped up on the dash showing a sort of engine drip sign? The fuel pump is less than 2 years old and fuel filter the same. I had it towed into a local shop where their code reader did not pick anything up. Truck started and ran fine for 3 days (truck is not my daily driver) then today it did the same thing to me. I was driving along and acceleration stopped...not suddenly or with any kind of jerk but like smoothly stopped while I had my foot on the gas. I pumped the gas pedal and eventually it started slowly regaining acceleration. When I got back to my road I decided to test it, I punched the gas pedal hard it picked up speed but a few seconds after letting up the truck acceleration stopped and truck died while in mid-drive. I cranked it up again and it started and was able to drive back to my house so I just parked it until I can figure out what is the problem. Anyone else have this problem or any advice on what the fix is? Please help!!

I checked the oil and its level. I did some research on similar problems with 09 f 150s and coming up with possible canister purge valve malfunction. Any thoughts on this?
