Just hit 60K miles
Hey everyone,
I’m definitely not of the mechanic mindset so I was hoping y’all could help. (also, I hope this is the right area to post this topic) My 2012 F150 Ecoboost just hit 60,000 miles so I’m trying to get an idea of what I should be looking to get replaced or looked at. I’m scared of going in and having the mechanic try and tell me all of the things I “NEED” to get done. Other than getting the oil & oil filters changed, air filters, getting my tires rotated, and replacing my brake pads/rotors, I really haven’t done much else so any help would be much appreciated! Also, if anyone happens to know a good & trustworthy mechanic in the Austin, TX area please let me know!
Thanks,
Bolton

Read your manual (also online at owner.ford.com). The answer is NOTHING.

Not sure if the 2012 is the same as mine (2015) but technically there is nothing you need to do except:
Air filter - depending on when you last replaced it
Cabin air filter - " " " " "
Oil - filter change " " " " "
Every 30K I go through and lube all the door, hood, tailgate hinges and locks.
Depending on how aggressive you are and temps (high) it wouldn't be a bad idea to replace the brake fluid. I would pull a plug to see (inspect) how it's wearing.
A complete inspection is certainly a good idea for preventative maintenance.
