Well, I have been given a non-permanent "solution" that I can live with...

The total cost of having the slip yoke greased at the dealership was $52. I was told that it will last about a year before it will need to be greased again. Instead of waiting a year, I am going to have it done every two or three oil changes. So, for $52 every two or three oil changes, I can live with that...

Oh, and I actually enjoyed driving my truck on the way home for the first time since I bought it two weeks ago...

That sounds an awful lot like drive shaft clunk. Which is common in earlier year trucks. They fixed those under warranty. They also replaced drive shafts if it didn't go away.

That's what she said.

I can live with the $52/year... Given my history of swapping trucks, I won't have it in two or three years anyways (meant to be sarcastic, but sadly it is a true statement...). I will likely spend less having the dealership do it than just buying the tools myself...

It's common for many two piece driveshafts:

Default Help !

I think I may have the same issue I just want to make sure before I go get it oooked at. But my truck makes me accelerate slow from a stop and if I try and go too fast the truck will shake and won’t go and I would have to take it out of drive and put it back into drive , was yours doing something like this as well ?
