Default Installing a limited slip diff in a 96 F150

Six months ago, I "inherited" a 1996 F150 XL that is just a back n forth to work truck, nothing special. It has a standard "open" diff. and I would like to install a limited slip differential. On the data tag that's located on the jamb of the driver's side door, it says the rear axle code is "19"...which is to say that the rear axle is just a regular axle with 3.55 ratio. Is this a Dana or is it a Ford 10.25" or 8.8"? I've been looking at the Detroit TrueTrac limited slip diff...anything else better or more economical out there? I've done alot of work to my trucks in the past, but never installed a limited slip diff, as I purchased my other trucks with a limited slip diff already installed. So any tips/pointers are definitely appreciated.
