Drove a 1985 F150 4x4 with 302, manual tranny for many miles and years. The only time it ever mis-fired or tried to die under load was due to a tank of bad gas. Something to consider - sometimes the simplest things....

Default Found the problem and I want to kick myself in the butt😡

Thanks everyone for the replies but I have found the issue. Some how someone changed the timing by almost 20+ degrees. I don稚 even know how it was running at all but I致e been looking at the angle of the distributor ever since I began this project thinking that it did not look right but I knew I had not moved it so I did not think that was the issue. Finally got tired of chasing my tail and figured I had nothing else to lose so I gave it a try and instantly corrected my issues. Now to do a brake job bearings in the rear differential and paint and body work.
