How to sell 5.4 with knock, low oil pressure, shakes, cam, vct, etc.

Hello, I have an '08 F150. It knocks and shakes when backing out of the driveway, stopping at stoplights, driving in parking lots, ect. I've already spent $1000 attempting to fix the issue, but it remains. I've decided to trade it in.

I was told to dump seafoam into the oil, drive no more than 15 miles, change oil with 20-w50, and drive straight to the dealer to trade it in.

Anyone have luck with this? Any other tips you might have is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

what have you done to fix said problem? How many miles are on it? I personally wouldn't dump it unless you know for a fact that it can't be fixed. sounds like you have a heavy miss...or your TPS sensor could be bad.
more info, and maybe we can assist you. GL

where are you located? I might be interested in taking your truck off your hands..

It's actually a 2008 Lincoln Mark LT, with 117k miles. The mechanic replaced some timing valves and screens, and changed the oil. That didn't fix the problem.

As stated in your title, how low is the oil pressure? Did you actually put a gauge on it?

^^^ Agreed, and don't sell to a private party without full and complete disclosure of all the problems.

@Prizefighter

Give us the VIN # on that unit and I'm sure someone here on the forum can help?
