How to add injector cleaner?
 

There is a small funnel behind the passenger side back seat with your jack and tool kit. If you put the small funnel in the tank it will allow it to flow into your tank.

No offense, but injector cleaner is old technology from the early days of fuel injection. Today's fuels are cleaner. Engines go hundreds of thousands of miles on the same injectors with no problems.

Adding "non-gasoline" fluids like injector cleaner might actually cause harm to the system.

Had to check which truck you had to make sure my answer was appropriate. Yours is a port injected engine - won't have the problem with carbon buildup that 2018+ 5.0's have with the port and direct injection. I have an 18 with the 5.0 so this is something near and dear to my heart. Unless you are strictly running E85, ethanol is not your friend. I use Lucas Ethanol treatment to neutralize the crap. Since I do have the direct and port injection, I use the Lucas Gas Treatment as well. I have 18K miles on my truck after nearly a year and my overall mpg is 21+. I've started just keeping mine in one of the bins at the bottom of the driver's door so that when I stop for gas, I can access it easily. Hope this helps.

A bottle of techron isn't gonna hurt a thing other then perhaps someone's wallet. That said, not all fuels are top tier, and gas is just as dirty as it always been, as the federal standards are pretty lax and haven't changed in awhile. If one has used top tier fuels for the life of the vehicle, then no worries....but for those using ****ty gas, a bottle of techron or another quality fuel system cleaner just before an oil change is a good idea.

The primary detergent in gasoline is going to be PEA, or polyetheramine. This is what is know as "Techron" or "V-Power," and will be the primary detergent in top tier fuels. The good bottled fuel system cleaners will contain approximately 15-30% PEA by volume, and those include Chevron Techron concentrate, Gumout Regane, Redline SI-1, Amsoil PI, Royal Purple MaxClean, and I'm sure many others.

Op if your truck is Flex Fuel. Just run a tank of E-85 thru it once in a while. that'll clean the entire system and deliver more power at your command.

That's what the snake oil salesmen say. Fuel additive, oil additive, vortex mileage improver, deer whistle, cold air filter...put 'em all on there. Ain't gonna hurt anything. It's only money.

That's fine provided that the fuel is "top tier" rated. Most are not.
