Hi! I'm new here. 89 ford truck owner
I have an 89 ford f150 xlt lariat short bed extended cab.
my question is, does this shifter (see attach) come apart here? If so, how?

No. That is factory molded in place. The lever is removed under the boot plate on the floor. There is a tapered bolt that has to be removed and installed from the other side to release it from the tranny. If your wanting to put a different **** on it you have to cut the shaft.
