Help! Tons of errors on dash 2016 F150

2016 FX 4x4 29K miles
Trouble started 3weeks ago coming back from a long haul with my horse 6hrs away (loaded is 6K lbs GN, well within towing capabilities and have long hauled before with it). Got there no problem, ~4hrs in on the way home, "See Service Manual" and "Check 4x4" along with a "911 assist malfunction, contact dealer" errors came on out of nowhere going 70mph, then a grinding noise. Pulled into truck stop, could not locate any info on these errors...proceeded to have more flash across the dash. Made it home with just the wrench light on for "See Service Manual". Unhooked trailer and when restarted all errors gone - For 2 days. Then same occurred driving around town, as well as a loss of Power Steering. Limited driving it until dropped off at dealer on 11/20 (they could not get us in earlier) but just about every time we drove over 20min the lights and grinding re-occurred.
Dealer said ABS module was bad and replaced it. They also performed the TSB on the IWE per my request as they could not duplicate grinding noise, and did a 30K mile service on it.

Picked up today... Drove 1.5 hr to work (purchased truck out of town), put it in park on my arrival and all errors returned on the dash (except the 4x4; no grinding noise or errors while driving). Just dropped it at a closer dealer instead (20min)...showed them video of errors, because now of course there are none on start up. They will look into it but have no idea right now why it is doing it.

Anyone have something like this happen?! Really sucks when the P/S goes out on you...

Update on the truck...
Stayed with the closer dealer a few days, could not duplicate. Returned to me and I had issues with it that night again. This time I lost turn signals and Sync/radio control and grinding wouldn't not quit for the 20min drive home.
Brought it back the next morning for a loaner and they duplicated the issue a few days later. However, dumping 50-80 trouble codes live.... They contacted Ford Technical help and trouble shot the truck for 3 weeks. Found a loose wiring harness and dealer test drove for 2 days without issue, grinding noise is "known issue" with the actuators/hubs and parts on backorder. Returned truck to us the 22nd. We drove it around most of the weekend. It sat on Monday. Tues night took it out for the evening and errors returned :( Brought it back the 26th and back to a loaner and they are starting on the list again from Ford to figure out what is wrong.

We are outside lemon law in VA as it is 18mos of ownership and issues started ~22mos. We have now been without our truck nearly 2mos, minus like a week.

And the latest... dropped off the 26th, received a call a week later it went from constant errors to intermittent, to none existent again.
We all know it is some sort of electrical or computer failure but can't trace it down.

Ford has responded that it may have been fixed with all the checking from plugging and unplugging wires and may never know what happened.

I hope when we get it back this time they are right, but we certainly no longer plan to keep this truck to over 100,000 miles like our last one :( If it happens again, as they have no exhausted all of Detroit's suggestions, I will be pushing for a replacement/trade in.

You ought to make them replace the main computer and then keep replacing parts till it's fixed since test and diagnostics show nothing.

Truck shows nothing in the codes unless it is actively throwing errors - another weird thing about this failure. So unless it is having issue they can't get any info off it. When it was throwing errors, it was 50+ at a time and had no idea where to start, hence their call to Detroit back in Nov/Dec.

Hopefully they provided a good loaner.

I wish... been driving an Escape, so totally useless for what we had a truck for :(

Well, we picked it up again because it quit throwing errors and the dealership can't do anything to diagnose when not actively having an issue. They drove it around a week waiting for codes and said no harm in us taking it back for now (in time for a snow storm so we had something with 4x4).
We got to drive it a week and then the same old crap started up again Sat am. I called the dealer, but they had no loaner and told me to keep it till Monday....well guess what? Sunday it quit throwing errors again on the 2nd start up.

So now I've called Ford Customer Service and opened a case and the Regional Sales Manager supposed to call me in 1 business day....

I'm just over this... I bought a truck for a reason and haven't had one since November now. It becomes unsafe to drive when it acts up (no turn signals at the least) and I certainly can't a haul a trailer with that happening with no warning.

That's why I suggested making them replace parts. It may not solve the problem and be a possible extra expence to them but it would at least show there was an actual effort to repair the issue.

I've had intermittent problems with phone systems I service and sometimes working with the manufacturer can delay the fix as they try finding the needle in the haystack. Maybe the CPU is corrupted . Replace the cpu. You're being put out with this make some noise cause the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

yes, I'm hoping they do something! Still waiting on that call from the Regional manager but if I've read other threads correctly Ford might get one last chance to fix it at which point I'll be making a stink to replace all suspect wiring and computers and have to have those 'inspected' to ensure that something was in fact bad in there or we might just be repeating this again....
