Getting ready to fix a turbo line coolant leak
Hello - Have a 2015 ecoboost 3.5L and have been seeing coolant on the ground under the passenger turbo for a few weeks now. Replaced the water pump a couple months ago, so figured I may as well take care of this one, too.
I am looking around for the replacement quick-connect fittings, but was thinking of switching to AN fittings and either using the original coolant tubes converted to AN fittings, or replacing the tube entirely with AN fittings and braided line. What is the size of these quick-connect fittings on the turbo? I have seen plenty of places to get the banjo fittings and AN adapters necessary, but need to know the size.
It looks pretty tight behind the engine to reach the other end on the return hose - has anyone done this replacement without yanking the intake to make room? I am just going to do both turbos, supply and return, and be done with it.
