Default Funky oder in cab

I have an oder inside the cab of my truck. I don't smell it all the time. I can't smell it on the outside of the truck. I have put my head by all the wheel wells and under the hood. The smell kind of reminds of old bunt crank case oil or karosene or natural gas. Any ideas?

What are you driving? Odors that come to mind, coolant smell from a leaky heater core. Burnt oil on manifolds, musty odor from condensor drain being plugged up.

It's an 2003 F 150. Like I said though, I can't smell it on the out side of the truck. I don't see any smoke from any where. I am all to familar with the smell of coolant. So I'm sure that's not it. I'm starting to wonder if it is a emmissions issue.

Well I think I figgured out the smell. I pulled the dip staick for the transmission and the fluid is black. What could cause this? I dropped the pan and changed the fluid less then a year ago.
