Today after filling up my truck, I went to close the fuel door as usual but it seemed to have some resistance and doesn’t close all the way, it stays open some. This just started today. Any thoughts as to why this is happening?

Give us a few more details. Year of truck, cab style, etc.
I have a '13 SCrew and had a problem with my fuel door suddenly just dangling in the wind, wouldn't stay closed. There are many you tube videos on how to fix ( my situation). You may have the same issue. In my case, it was the plastic hinge pin that had "walked" out of the hinge. Very easy fix.
