Front Brakes Dragging 92 F150 2WD
Good Morning Gear Heads,
I have just became a member and am looking forward to trying to help, and getting help. So heres my issue, I developed a front brake drag in my 92 F150 2WD, I thought no problem everything except master cyl. was still original I will take the opportunity to update parts, the problem is in both front wheels, I replaced parts in phases so I might know what fixed it, so here goes replaced rubber lines caliper to frame (no help), replaced both calipers (no help), replaced booster with master cyl.(so I would not have any problems with the booster to master cyl rod length. Worked like new for 3 days now the problem seems to have returned. I should also note that after each replacement the system was bled starting with furtherest wheel to closest and metal line from master cyl to "T" and between rubber lines was blown out with air. I used the think I could fix things, maybe not. Thanks in advance for the help 67:wallbash: |
I assume you mean that the brakes stay applied after you take your foot off the brake? When you bled the brakes, did a good amount of fluid came out of each bleeder valve?
|
And I assume its a front/rear split and not a diagonal split correct?
|
Yes, fluid travels freely and were bled, until no air bubbles.
and yes system is split it has the integral proportion valve at master cyl. just a little more info discovered new master cyl./booster combo had a leak between them replaced it with a new master cyl, not rebuilt. system seems better but still unsure thanks for the reply. |
