Our tuner is stackable if you have a custom tune. You would then load our tuning device to the vehicle which will extract the custom tuned version, make the changes to the tune, and then load the lockout custom tune back to the vehicle. Our lockout tune does several different proprietary changes to the calibration to ensure the vehicle runs as well if not better than stock while recognizing the VCT has been locked in place.

If you were to just disable those diagnostic trouble codes the truck would not run properly and go into a low power state due to the timing being locked. You have to make the vehicle understand that the variable cam timing is no longer functional and change the tune to compensate for this.

Feel free to give us a call if you would like to place an order or discuss this further.

I have a 2010 F150 with 26K miles. The engine is quiet (doesn't sound like a diesel) except for ever once in a while I will get a very light rattle for a split second on startup or when idling around a parking lot under 1200rpm. Would now be a good time to do the Livernois Lockout kit? Thanks for any help.
