Exhaust/gas smell under the hood and in the cabin
Good Morning,
Over the last three day have smelled a strong exhaust/gas smell when I walk in front of my truck. I have no lose in MGP, runs smooth, no codes, and no gas in the oil. I have inspected the fuels lines and exhaust and cannot find a leak. I tried to look at the injectors, but cannot see much. Any suggestions?
Thanks

A loose spark plug will smell of gas. I've had it happen.

Put all the truck's details, options, maintenance history, mods, miles, etc. into your signature as this caption explains:

I am going to treat this as an exhaust leak. You might want to check for a leak where the air pipe attaches to the main exhaust prior to the converter and could be drawn inside by the HVAC system. It won't produce much noise there either. You can also have a helper block the exhaust with a rag and look underneath for a small leak.

Well I finally got the truck on a rack. The issue is a fuel line leak. The low pressure line coming off of the high pressure fuel pump leading to the fuel pump is leaking. The leak is between the firewall and the block. I talked to the parts guys and he said he has never heard of that line leaking. Part will be here in 3 days.
