Engine light post sea foam
I just sprayed a can of sea foam into my throttle body, followed the instructions and now I have an engine light on...
seems to run and drive fine. It’s a 2010 5.4V8 FX4

Sorry I don't have any advice for you... just seems that I read about this problem quite often with the folks using Sea Foam.

I had the exact same issue after using sea foam. The codes I got were for o2 sensors, the only thing I can think is that they got dirty from the sea foam cleaning things out. The truck ran fine replaced the o2 sensors just because. I dont use sea foam anymore just because if this reason.

The Seafoam pushed the computer out its adjustment range. They'll probably disappear in a short while. Study what causes the codes to be set and it will make sense. Seafoam would make your PCM think that your engine had a huge oil-burning problem. No offense to Garys but his O2 sensors were probably fine. The computer doesn't reset the code until after so many "good" running cycles.
The catalytic converters, on the other hand, could get damaged if they got loaded up with hydrocarbons.
The main purpose to Seafoam's instructions is to get you to buy Seafoam.

the throttle body should be removed from the manifold to clean it properly with throttle body cleaner.. this prevents washing all the crap into the manifold runners.

The intake spray version sounds positive for DI only fuel systems to help with the back side build up on the intake valves in engines with a lot of blow by.
