There has to be something going on that they're not telling you about. There's no excuse for this. Five weeks and counting for a sensor that they should have had in stock? WOW, I feel your pain!

Jan 26, 2017 - Evening further update. My husband called Ford Canada this afternoon about this long delay and lack of communication from the dealership. Ford corporate had the dealership call him and they now say the Wiring Harness has to be made and that's the reason for the delay. The original diagnosis was "coolant sensor and some wiring". So again, they said it will take a week to a week-and-a-half to get it. Makes us feel sick we ever bought a Ford pickup and we are going to tell everybody we know this story.

CROWNMAN - It was not our truck that had the rat problem, LOL. That was posted by someone called SansBallyhoo, not me. Our truck had no rodents whatsoever cause the problem. If Ford is taking over 5 weeks to supply a part, then for sure I can blame Ford.

This is a non-update. This Friday, Feb 10 it will be 7 weeks since our pickup was towed to the dealership. It's been sitting in the same spot on the dealer's lot since then. The new wiring harness has still not been delivered and my husband continues to drive the rental truck. This is just crazy.

Still at the dealer. Mice or somethng ate the harness under the manifold. Didnt believe it until I saw it. Thank you to Ford for using wiring/harness that rodents think is food (plant based content they love).
They should pay the damn bill. Its a big one.

Thankfully since my husband's truck was fixed in Feb 2017, the problem has not reoccurred. Ours was not a rodent problem like some others so warranty covered the repair. Good luck to all with this problem.
