Do you do your own Maintenance??
#11
When I was a kid I did my own maintenance because I didn't have the money to get it done at a shop. After I got to making money my tool box became a credit card and I had everything done at a dealer or shop. Now that I'm retired I'm back to doing my own maintenance if it's not too hard or complicated. I let Jiffy LUbe do the oil changes. It's a PIA to have to get rid of the oil.

I would NEVER have Jiffy Lube or any other place like that, touch anything I own with wheels!! They tend to do more damage than good and sell service you don't need. Please beware..

Yeah, I agree with you on selling services you don't need. I get out and supervise everything they do. When they tell me to get back I tell them, "It's still my vehicle and I get to see everything that's being done or I take it someplace else." They always let me watch. The the stuff I don't need, I just say, "No."

also, there is a shop around here that has heater that burns oil that they use to heat their shop, so they are more than happy to take your old oil, lol

I burn it (any leaflicker going to make a comment?), but only to start fires, and use it as bar and chain oil for the chainsaw.

That's a funny question. If you get your oil changed at a shop they charge you to dispose your old oil. Since I only change the oil in my cars (truck is under contract with my dealer) I always take my old oil to Jiffy Lube. They take it for FREE. Funny how they charge you for this when your already paying them for a service but not when your NOT.
