Difference

Does anyone know what the difference is between the 8200 GVW lower control arm, and the regular F150's? This is the last thing I need to decode before I buy the 4 inch lift for my truck.. I called Ford service dept. and they didn't know, imagine that... Sorry posted in 04-08 but thought it might help to post here too...

The 8200# design is for the 8 lug F-150's, mainly just heavier duty than the original. Doing a lift though, I think I'd make the upgrade anyway since you're working it at steeper angles. The kit may/may not recommend one, but if you're going up 4" the stock control arm will be very strained (so will the ball joints and CV's).

Good luck man.
