Coyote engine into 2005 Lariat

Hey all, new member here! I’m looking at getting a mechanics special 2005 Lariat with a 5.4 triton in it, it does not run. I thought “why not drop a new engine in there?” So after a very quick search I found a coyote out of a 2013 f150 relatively close by. I’m not a mechanic by any means, my expertise tops at switching out TPS sensors, cleaning throttle body’s and the like. So I plan on hiring someone to do it for me. Is the engine swap possible? How much should I be looking to spend? The coyote engine has 23k miles and is going for around $2k, the truck is in good condition and going for $4500.

Update: The owner says it’ll run with new timing sensors and cam phasers.
Thanks in advance!

The phaser job is gonna cost you 2k, so that is something to keep in mind.

The Coyote swap is not a direct bolt in, you will need the transmission and wiring harness/pcm too. Lots of other little custom things, so I’d expect to spend 5k for the swap, probably more.

it would be cheaper to do the cam phaser job than to swap in a 5.0 coyote

It's going to be a considerable hassle chasing down all the right hardware, harnesses etc. and then you have a bit of a Frankenstein. Personally, I wouldn't.
From the age of the truck and the fact that it has a wiped out valvetrain, I wouldn't buy it in the first place. I'll lay a wager there is more things wrong than just the phasers and VCT's. It's going to need chain guides, tensioners and probably have to pull the oil pump and clean the screen, which is likely plugged with what used to be the chain guides. Run away.
