Default Brand of Oil

I have seen numerous comments about different brands of synthetic oil that owners are using.
i just bought a '15 F150 SCREW 2.7 Eco 3.31 axle, 4x2, and had my oil changed at the dealer (37xxx mikes) my question is, should I stay with the full synthetic oil, or go with a blend. My other vehicles all use Mobil One. I do pull and camper or utility trailer sometimes.

Unless you specified full syn with the dealer they most likely used a syn blend.

Some folks use the syn blend for the life of their vehicle others go right to full syn. I'm a believer that full syn is better for your engine especially if you follow the OLM.

I'm not a Mobil 1 fan boy but I use it in all my vehicles, even my 1991 F150. If it's good enough for the 'factory fill' on Corvettes and Porsche, it's good enough for my cars and truck

I have used Motorcraft syn-blend for years in my Fords. Never a issue. I did put Rotella for gas engines in my daughters Grand Prix and may use it in my truck next oil change.

I've always used Motorcraft 5W-30 Synthetic Blend in my 2014 3.5L EB. I currently have almost 69K miles on it, and at least half of that is towing. Because of that, I have always changed oil at 5k miles.

I switched from MC 5-20 sino to Kendall-1 GT 5-30 sino w liquid Titanium.

Made by ConocoPhilips. Same company that makes MC but has better additives pkg and $5/qt.

I use MC filters.

191,xxx on 5.4 2v and just traveled over 2100 miles on road trip at 75-85 mph. The last leg was 18 hr straight thru stopping for gas and coffee. She burned 1 1/2 qt on that 18 hr 1100 mi leg w outside temps in the 80’s.

Truck runs smooth and quiet.

Any name brand blend or full synthetic will do. They all will meet the specs needed for your engine and don't get caught up on brands.

Mobile 1 my self, I do a lot of very short trips, less than 6 miles a day and those 6 are 3 separate stop and go. Barely enough time to boil off any condensation so it will not mix with full syn.

Mobile 1 usually runs a rebate so I get it almost half price. They have 1 going on right now. https://mobiloil.com/en/promotion/mo...-1-rebate-2019
