I believe your thinking of Fram. I've used Motorcraft filters for over 30 years and never had an issue, 11 of those years using them on a daily basis in a Ford dealership service department.

Baldwin makes great filters. Very popular in the heavy equipment/trucking industry. In my mind just as good as Fleetguard and Wix. I ran Baldwin fuel/oil filters in my Cummins for many years.

Baldwin makes excellent filters. I was reading a cut-apart comparison of several major name filters and Baldwin was the best made of the bunch. Motorcraft did have some 820S's slip through a year or so ago that weren't properly glued and the media was separating from the end cap. I don't know if that carried over to any others or not, but that's what got me doing my homework on filter construction. I also use them on the Cat motor in the KW.

bypass oil
bypass only comes into effect when the media is completly full which usually is only possible if ur engine is on the way out or some sort of catostrophic failure or possibly if ur not changing ur filter at all lol....... the bypass is on the input side so hypothetically if you had 40 goin in and 20 ouing out itll open to even up the pressures the higher bypass is usually due to stronger media and higher media flow rates and center tube design ect nothing thats going to hurt the engine
btw this filter does not have silicone adbv and shouldnt be run multiple cycles
