Default Anybody Going to Ignore OSS Recall 19S07?

My 2013 5.0 has 185K miles and there has never been a problem as described in the recall. I read one threat where someone got the programming update per the recall and then a few days later they began having problems Ford said was the lead frame. I know that Ford extended the coverage on the lead frame but the local service department told me that was up to 150K.

I'm thinking with 185K miles and never a transmission issue, and as of last year only driving her about 4K miles per year now, I'm going to ignore the recall and not tempt fate.

Anyone else whose truck is under the recall for the output speed sensor ignoring the recall?

I was told a very long time ago "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" I've lived by that motto successfully for the past 54 years. I am Not going to have anything reprogrammed, if there comes a time I'll do it my self. I have the equipment to do so (IDS)

P.S. Yes I got the recall letter also.

Thanks for the reply from a Ford tech. I didn't get that type of honesty (if it ain't broke, etc.) from the guys at the local dealer. They were stuck on my having to bring it in even though I had not experienced a problem in 185K miles and didn't want to discuss the option of my not bringing it in.

I am treading that water too with a 2013 5.0 that has been completely trouble-free. Never had a hiccup from the tranny. Biding my time and will watch the posts. For now I am on hold too and probably be overly sensitive to any new shift changing behavior.
