95 f150 5.8 overheating

Overheating problem, any ideas?

1995 ford f150 5.8

Flushed cooling system 3 times, with a water hose hooked up to any port possible only allowing one open port for pressure to build. Blew tons of crap out.

replaced:

fan clutch
thermostat 160F
water pump
coolant; tested for -30F

added 10" electric fan to radiator

100% full tune up all around the truck.
No check lights, truck seems to run nice and has great power.

Try a new radiator lol. Did the water pump spin nice and easy?

ukv894 05-12-2013 07:45 PM

I do not suspect the radiator in the least.

The water pump seamed find when I bought it. And spun nice. Water flow is felt by hand gabbing the top radiator hose during running.

Well. That and the water pump are the only things really left. Just caused it was flushed well doesn't mean it still doesn't have clogs in it. Does it lose any fluid?

I wonder if there is a clog in the block

I am wondering the same thing. The heater core was clogged; and I flushed the junk out of it. I did flush what I could out of the block.

I am searching for a block cooling port schematic to see if I can tell if a clock would happen, and if so were and how if it would make it over heat.

Are the freeze plugs still in the block?
