Getting ready to cut the cats out per test. Will let ya know once I've tested it. Gonna drill a 1/4" hole infront of the cat and then behind it and see if they both have the same pressure first. If they do, then I'll weld the holes shut and move on

Might try changing your screen name and then pray.

Pay the flat rate of $125.00 for Ford diagnostics and then take their report and go buy only the parts you need. You're wasting a lot of your time and money chasing this the way you are.

its the cat. My truck has 4, of course. Let the truck run for 35 seconds, hopped underneathe. Put my hand on the driver side elbow-cat, very very warm, all 3 other cats, cool as a cucumber. Its the cat.

#problemSolved

Krack had it right

Per DannyTexas,

Let us pray.

Baby Jesus, thank you for taking the time to steer me towards the catalytic converters on my 98 Ford F150 4.6L vin W 2wd. With your Ever-Knowing guidance, we have solved this vehicular crisis. In Baby Jesus name we pray, Amen.

I'll say, I don't regret replacing the parts that i replaced because it is a 98 w 230,000 on it, and im sure they were all factory parts from apperance. Infact, i had to remove the throttle position sensor by way of hammer, and unthread the screws w vice grips it was so old... even PB wasn't busting it loose.

I not sure i would have ever replaced them otherwise. Now ill have a solid truck for at least a good while. Will replace the other cats after i get paid just as a preventative measure

Just cut them all out and put in 1 high flow cat per side it'll be cheaper then replacing all 4 with factory ones

Already bought and ordered the left side. $309. Will be here Tuesday. If i put a high flow single on the right side, will that be okay? Also, is it possible to clean the o2 sensors without damaging them and if so, which cleaner should i use? Throttle body? No residue cleaner etc?
