Default 3.5 ecoboost making oil

I bought a 2012 3.5 ecoboost about 3 or 4 weeks ago with around 44,000 miles. I checked the oil the next week and it was over full so I took it to the Ford service shop to have some removed. They said a valve was sticking and pushing gas fumes into it and replaced it. Around a week later I had a misfire and check engine light when I floored it. The next day the TSB said to replace the spark plugs and they did that. About another week later (today) I checked the engine oil again and now it's over full again. I am taking it back tomorrow to have it looked at again. Luckily I was smart enough to buy Certified Pre-owned so all of this is costing me nothing to have fixed. Anyone else have problems with their 3.5 making oil? What could be the issue here?

The dealership is doing some kind of test on it where it has to sit overnight. They're not sure if gas is getting into the oil yet. They said they might have to replace the high pressure pump. Once again, I'm so glad to have the certified pre-owned warranty.

The dealership said that they can't figure out what's wrong yet. They are going to run some more tests in the morning. I know I'm not the only one who has had this issue. Has anyone actually been able to fix this issue?

High pressure fuel pump - that is why you are getting gas in the oil.

They actually said something about how they might have to replace that before they started doing the tests. If I had to guess I'd say the holdup is them talking to the actual Ford company and going over codes. Hopefully I'll hear something back today.

These dealers are either a mess or playing dumb. The eco has very specific issues that they are all aware of. I bet they play dumb until folks are out of warranty and then they can roll in the dough!

Are you a fire / emt? If so, I am too!

I have a 12,000 mile/1 year bumper to bumper and 100,000 mile/7 year warranty so I doubt they're just messing around. The main guy that they wanted to work on it who is the one who said something about the pump is gone for a few days to go to school so that may be why they're having a little trouble right now.

Yes I am fire/emt! I am a firefighter on both paid and volunteer side as well as an emt!
