Default 2017 f-150 what causing "system shutdown to save battery"

Started with headlights turning on by them selves. By hitting the lock button on key fab, lights would turn off but would go back on after 10-15minutes. I tried to start the truck after a few hours and it won't start. The SYNC screen says "system shutting down to save battery". Shortly after, all the exterior lights (except headlights) all start flashing.
Is this a bad fuse or something far worse?

Have you read the owner's manual for an explanation of that message?

remember the sync screen isn't a diagnostic screen, the information display in the gauge cluster is your diagnostic info source. Sync is just getting low voltage and shutting that infotainment display down.

Talking Learned something from reading these posts!

I was trying to learn how to disable the Battery Saver Mode, so I've read lots of different threads on the system shutting the radio down to save battery. We all know the problem, it seems, drive 30 miles, let the wife out to shop, park and as soon as the key goes off, the radio does too, to save the battery!!! I went out to put the truck away 2013 Lariat Ecoboost with 51,000 miles, and pushed the radio, with the key in my pocket, and on it came, multiple times, and no system shutdown!!! Five years I've had this truck, and now I learn this!! Even with the key in in the parking lot, it tells me to start the engine to play the radio. I replaced the battery with a 20% higher capacity battery than OEM last year, and the truck starts quick, so I thought that maybe it was the alternator connector pigtail that may come loose, or out. My second surprise was that with a flashlight, I couldn't see the alternator!! I'm beginning to think that folks have been right for a lot of years......Manufacturers don't want you to fix them, just bring them back to get fixed, and buy a new one while you're waiting!!!! LOL
Tomorrow, I will go out in the daylight, and FIND that Alternator!!!! Or maybe, go find an antique with points, a generator and manual transmission!!

Don't buy one if it has the auto stop-start, stupidest wear and tear feature ever!

as per my own experiment i had found the same.

Think I would put a new battery in it. See if it makes a difference and cheap fix if it does. I say that because we are not very good mechanics any more with all the new systems and weak batteries seem to be the first culprit.

I had the exact same message appear on my Sync 3 screen. I am not sure about the lights. I also have a 2017 XLT. It happened a day after taking it in for service at the dealership for an oil change. It hasn't happened since then. It has been about a week now since it happened.

how many miles do you have on it? I'm thinking a bad fuse.. find it in the OM, or try replacing battery.
