2016 Ford F150 XLT - Hurricane Harvey Insurance Buy Back
Update:
The interior has been completely installed
Carpet
Seats
Seatbelts
SRS module
Steering Wheel
Battery
Testing TIME
I had cover the air intake to prevent any particles from entering the engine. Forgetting I had blocked air intake caused the motor to fail to start.
A little troubleshooting later and BOOM. Clean solid Start up.
There was an initial cloud of white smoke and sputter coming out the exhaust but after all said and done a running F150 Stood.
Cleared a bunch of faults from the computer.
shut down, restarted and She was very quick to start.
On the surface everything was working.
Transmission,
4x4 transfer case
Brakes
Temperature sensors
Radio
GPS
AC
Drove the car around without any issues.
Problems Discovered:
Rear windows work from Driver Door.
Rear windows don't work from rear doors
Rear Speakers do not work
Scanner shows SRS module is not communicating with BCM.
Troubleshooting:
Replaced all Fuses inside old (flooded) BCM
Traced Voltage to speaker and door switches using line diagrams from www.revbase.com/BBBMotor/Wd
Did seem to be a problem with voltage.
Removed BCM and realized I did not clean circuit board.
Attempted to clean circuit board using technic listed above.
BCM module had too much damage, however attempted to reinstall and test again.
The BCM did not appreciate the bathing and now all kinds of electrical issues were happening.
However truck is very much show drivable just has a few errors.
Contacted local ford dealership purchased a new BCM module. Ford charged $282
Found a local programmer to reset/ reprogram keys
Next step:
Install New BCM
Perform mechanical test
Perform electrical test
Determine next course of action.
At this stage this is all uncharted territory as to what to do next. Im expecting 96 % of my issues will be resolve with a new BCM.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Trucks looking great. Honestly, if your not planning on selling the truck. The resale value doesnt matter. You know the type of work you've put into restoring the truck to its natural beauty and in some cases probably better. If you own the truck for that many years then plan on passing it down, you've got yourself a winning combo. Great rebuild and good informative thread so far. Keep up the good work!

Let's do the math here:
Original Truck Purchase Price: - $40,000 (estimated)
Insurance Company Paid: + $38,000
Bought Totaled Truck: - $ 4,000
Repairs to Truck: - $ 4,000 (estimated high end based on OP's post)
Total Out of Pocket: $10,000
He paid ~10k for his truck. Sounds like a great deal to me.
