2015 2.7 High Press Fuel Pump
High all. I got code P0087 today “low fuel rail pressure”. After some searching I found the HPFP might be the issue.
However, the problem is intermittent and I can’t make it do it. The check engine never comes on but I would loose power so I put my scan tool on it.
I have been monitoring fuel fuel rail pressure and see the ~2000 psi under full throttle. But as low as 200 sometimes.
When the issue happens (loss of power) the rail pressure drops to about 63. I think that is the output pressure of the tank pump.
So so my question is... what is the HPFP supposed to put out on the low side?
