just bought my pickup with 32k miles on it and noticed a rattling in the hood. Ive talked to some guys and they say its part of the turbo any ideas if this is normal not?

 

There are too many reasons why the motor would rattle like a turbo, intercooler or just a cooling fan. Take it to the dealer before the warranty runs out. There are a number of reported complete engine failures with the EcoBoost engines by the NTSB.

 

Agree with Marc. Go to the dealer while you still have warranty.

 

I did decide to take it in to the dealer and I was told it was normal. Idk if they were just halfassing the inspection or what but I was told its part of the turbo and they cover it up when they come off the assembly line to prevent it from louder rattling.I had A 2005 ford f150 and that thing ticked,so that is why im wondering.
