My wife has been having the "service advancetrac" warning popping up intermittently as of late. She looses the use of the signals at the same time too and describes the truck as feeling heavy, as in the brakes are constantly on. Fixed temporarily by turning off advancetrac or the trailer sway controller. The local ford pulled a u0428-20 code which they say is the steering gear so I am probably looking at a new steering rack. From reading these forums, I have seen answers ranging from just a reprogramming of a sensor to the full rack replacement.

It goes back in on Tuesday upcoming and will discuss all the options before dropping $$$ on the rack.

Question is, anybody else have/had this code and what was the outcome/what was replaced.
