2011 Ecoboost shut off while driving
Hey guys,
This past Friday my 2011 Ford F-150 Ecoboost 3.5L 4x4 shut off on me during a road trip. Seemed like electrical system shut off because I had no power to the wheels just radio, lights and power steering temporarily. Got AAA to tow to local Ford. They believe it's the instrument cluster and want me to replace it costing $700+. Is there any chance it could be something other than replacing the major unit.

EDIT: Truck won't even try to start. When key is put in ignition only the gauges needle move.
