I was told after transmission change that my front wheels were locked into 4x4 and therefore there is a probelm with my vacuum hoses. I don't understand how the vacuum system works and how can I tell if I'm in 2H or 4H all the time? I do hear the click in the transmission when I change the selector from 2H to 4H but how do I tell which one its locked into and how do I diagnose this problem to find out what is causing it?




I enjoy working on the truck myself but don't know anything about this issue or the vacuum and have limited resources in my own garage. I do have basic stuff to jack it up on stands and work on stuff myself but nothing fancy.
