2002 f150 4.6 idle issues - CAN'T FIND PROBLEM

Post 2002 f150 4.6 idle issues - CAN'T FIND PROBLEM

High rpm at crank (1800 to 2100). Settles down to normal and runs good with good acceleration. At a stop it will start to lope between 500 and 900 rpm. I have replaced the IAC and EGR Valve. Also, a smoke test did not show any vacuum leaks.

Help. This is getting to be a total pain. I cannot find the issue.

Have you cleaned your throttle body and MAF sensor? Both require a specific cleaner for each. I would start there...

Hey, alsatropine, sorry for the long delay in responding, had computer issues. Thanks for the advise. Did as you advised but still have the issue. So, any other advice? I was told that the IAC I purchased - after market- is the problem. I need to get OEM. What are your thoughts.
