If you are talking about a copyrighted Ford Service Manual (for free), you are trying to violate copyright laws and you want F150forum to help? Not a good idea.

If you are talking about owner's manuals, check my signature.

For some cars there are both service manuals and really good aftermarket manuals available for download. A person doesn't know until they ask.

And these downloads are free with no copyright violations? Or are they pirated copies for free?

If you want cheap, check out:

Thanks for the link.

Re. copyright violations. I've no idea. I'm used to old Beemers and Porsches. Is an OEM manual originally published in the 80's still under copyright today?

If you download it from Warez or other similar site, what do you think?

You always this angry?

If John Doe says "You can download it from <I'm making these up> F150.org, or ftp.JohnDoe.com", what do you think? When an extreme example (Warez) has to be chosen to support a point, maybe it's not such a strong point.

If you wanted a 25yr old BMW or Porsche service manual, I'd help you out. You could have answered "they aren't available for free download, probably because they're not yet in the public domain", or something along those lines. That'd be helpful without the Internet equivelent of poking me in the chest. So why greet a newby by poking?

lets be realistic here. In the internet realm copyright laws dont mean jack. And to answer the OPs question I am sure there are a few out there however I have been unable to download any of them. I was able to download all the service manuals in a dvd file for all ford CARS which is completely useless to me, but I thought it was pretty cool. That's right shotgun I downloaded copy written service manuals for free!

Always angry? No.

Angry when people don't stop and think? Yes.

I have no problem with either of you stealing copyrighted material on your own. If you want to be a thief and announce it to the entire Internet, that's your choice.

However, I have a lot of respect for F150forum.com, most of its members, its moderators, and its owners. Promoting theft as a member of this forum and on this forum is unacceptable (and basically stupid). You have no right to involve this forum, members, moderators, or owners in theft, on purpose or by accident.

I am now going to ask the moderators if they think this thread should be closed or deleted.
