I recently bought a 95 f-150 with 37,000 miles on it. It's an i6 4x4 off road short bed manual 5 speed with overdrive. It is at 40,000 miles right now. There was not an owners manual in the glove box so I am looking for advice as to what kind of oil and filters are preferred by the majority. I don't know whether to use synthetic or conventional or what weight to use. My common sense is saying 10w30 or 5w30. I am going to buy a manual I just need some info now rather than later.

I live and work at a college in Southeastern KY where the summer has been hot and winter can throw you a curve ball everyday. Any advice is welcome. I baby my vehicles so I want to make the right move when it comes to regular maintenance. Thanks!
