Just wanted to tell you all how great this forum is! We had this problem on my sons truck which we just bought used. We thought we bought a lemon with bad tranny, but my husband knows enough about cars that tranny does problem consistently. We searched internet found this and everything you all said about misfire and bad plugs and coils was right . Had this replaced and solved problem. I wanted to post this to help someone else in our position. Remember all the posts about plugs being hard to remove and breaking. So use care. Ford issues tbs on this and adding solve to plugs before removing. I hope others find this before they do all the tranny fix its.
