That would probably would have made you put the lights between those sensors which still would've looked great !!
Again not being critical .......a lot of hard work for sure.......what's not to like with your effort & the way you finished it !!!
Edit: just read the last few posts & saw you had rivited the plate to the tailgate....Problem solved ( I thought it was to the receiver itself )
