Default Help with Lariat/Raptor Console

I have an XLT and I'm swapping the console out for a raptor console. I'm going to keep the raptor switch panel as I plan on buying strobes/ lightbar/ etc and like the switches there for me to use. My problem is I now have a 7.5"x5.25" hole where the shifter should normally be on a raptor or lariat. Anyone have any idea what I can use or somewhere I can buy something to fill the hole with a tray for holding my phone/cigarettes/lighter etc.

Any information helps, thanks guys!

I attached a photo of the console so you guys can see the hole from the shifter that I'm talking about.

I would throw a set of usb plugs in there! If not that, maybe relocate the Headlight switch and dimmer wheel? That'd be pretty bad-*** to flip open the center console to hit the lights!

Make it a cup holder or a hideaway storage.

On a side note how hard was it to wire the switches back up?
Plug and play? Or more custom work?

Default My idea

So I'm putting a raptor console in my 14 XLT. My plan is to use that opening to flush mount a tablet right there for music purposes. I mean come on a flush mounted tablet in a console how much better could you get???

Default Continued with more ideas.

For the spot on the inside I was gonna relocate the sync stuff from in that little door thingy under the AC controls. Just some more ideas.

Default Use for the empty shifter Column

Hey im fairly new to this form but I've been looking around for the same console your about to install in your f150. Anyways ford sells a plastic insert to turn that hole into a cupholder of just a general storage compartment its about 50$ where i live. If your interested in the up-fitter solution a nice piece of aluminum with the new 8 switch up-fitter for the 2017 raptors would fit in there too. You also have plenty of space if you wanted to put a secondary fuse panel for interior lights light bars ect. with the up-fitter switch however your could always get a cheep 10$ carbon fibber wrap for the aluminum if you don't like the look. when i find one and install it in my truck ill post pictures.

Are you going to be getting the two side trim pieces that run along the radio to the bottom of the new center console? If so, do you have the part numbers for those? I'm looking to do this myself and I currently have the jumper seat.

Here's an idea for the shifter area....4 OTRATTW/Carling switches and a really cool laser etched logo of your choice from KustomFX!
